Second Buffalo Mall set to be built in Eldoret

• Eldoret town is set to welcome a new shopping complex; Buffalo mall in 2 years’ time following a joint effort between local and South African Investors.
• The mall will occupy 14,250 SM and will be located along Kisumu road outside Eldoret town centre to increase accessibility.

• In line with the plan to renew the city by upgrading old neighbourhoods into modern estates launched in July 2015, Old Ngara estate will be the first to be upgraded to New Ngara. This will be done through construction of 5 blocks of 24 storey apartments with 1050 that will sit on 5.9 acres.

A proposal to have all building licences under one roof made

• The Acting Land Cabinet Secretary Dr. Matiangi has made a proposal to have all construction licences centralised. The developers would only have to apply for the necessary licences at the Kenya Revenue Authority, instead of moving from office to the other to get various construction permits.
